About The Position

Partnership Financial Credit Union (PFCU) is seeking a part-time Member Service Representative (MSR I) to join their team at the Franklin Park office. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and are passionate about helping people achieve their financial goals. The MSR I will be responsible for assisting members with their financial needs, processing transactions accurately, and learning PFCU's products and services to build relationships and enhance the member experience. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent job-related experience.
  • Minimum of 6 months of related experience in customer service and sales.
  • Experience in working with and assisting others in a professional setting.
  • Ability and desire to consistently build relationships and identify/introduce additional products and services to members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-organized with the ability to multi-task.
  • Accuracy and detail-oriented.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • General understanding of credit union or banking or lending products, services, policies and procedures.
  • Results-driven, goal and service-oriented, self-motivated.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Trustworthy with the ability to maintain the highest level of integrity; bondable.
  • Proficiency in all PFCU's software applications including member applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Must be flexible regarding work schedule as evening hours may be necessary.
  • Ability to communicate with clarity, understanding and explaining complex situations.
  • Ability to proofread documentation and correspondence to ensure accuracy and prevent errors/fraud.
  • Ability to move or lift files, boxes and general office equipment if needed.
  • Uphold the Credit Union's compliance with all policies, procedures, and required regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist members with their financial needs, processing transactions and requests accurately.
  • Learn and understand PFCU's products and services to provide comprehensive support.
  • Build member rapport and enhance the member experience through prompt, efficient, confidential, and accurate service.
  • Identify and act on sales opportunities by promoting and cross-selling PFCU's product line.
  • Process various member transactions, including deposits, loan transactions, and new account openings within established limits.
  • Update member profiles and process ancillary product requests.
  • Gather additional information from members when needed and ensure follow-up for completion.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, regulations, technology, and trends in credit union, banking, and lending.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and promote teamwork.
  • Represent PFCU in community functions to promote the credit union positively.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and banking/credit union regulations, including regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain and monitor cash control for own cash drawer.
  • Complete audit logs for internal controls and monitor/replenish office supplies and inventory.
  • Perform additional duties as required and may be utilized in other PFCU offices and departments as business needs dictate.
