About The Position

Member Service Representatives conduct member interaction tasks to promote member satisfaction, membership sales, and retention. The role includes phone and in-person interaction with members and YMCA staff, as well as administrative activities such as member and program enrollment, record keeping, and payment processing. The position is part-time and requires occasional evening and weekend availability.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Cash management experience.
• Organized and able to follow directions.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Comfortable working in a membership-driven environment.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks successfully in diverse situations.
• Computer and keyboarding experience.
• Strong communication skills and phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Process payments and maintain a balanced cash drawer and receipting according to procedures.
• Inform supervisors and/or coworkers of dilemmas, concerns, and updates during working times.
• Apply working knowledge of the membership system to data entry, maintenance, reporting, and related responsibilities.
• Complete accurate data entry and maintain records for new members, renewals, program participants, and guests.
• Maintain member resource information at the front desk.
• Keep the front desk and lobby area neat, clean, and professional.
• Greet members and visitors according to YMCA guidelines.
