About The Position

Finch is hiring engineers to build software that makes justice more accessible by automating administrative work in consumer law. The role focuses on turning repetitive, paper-based legal workflows and fragmented data into clear, useful software through well-designed systems and applied AI. You will own major features end-to-end, from architecture decisions through production release, and help scale foundational software for Finch’s legal team while developing attorney-facing surfaces and exploring new products and services. You will build reliable, performant systems across core workflows using Python/Django, React, and AWS, and work closely with strategy and operations, product, growth, and legal teams to determine what to build and why. The role also contributes to Finch’s engineering culture, standards, and practices. The team works together in its NYC office four days a week.
