Member of Technical Staff Intern
About The Position
Interns join Axiom’s technical staff to work on a focused research or engineering project. The project is defined collaboratively based on Axiom’s current work and where the intern can contribute most. Project areas may include mathematical reasoning, model training, formal verification, or supporting infrastructure. Interns work with a mentor and take ownership of the project lifecycle, from planning and experimentation through productionization. They also gain exposure to Axiom’s work across the company and how research, engineering, and formal verification contribute to mathematical discovery.
Requirements
- Evidence of technical ability through research, open-source work, independent projects, or coursework.
- Depth in at least one of computer science, machine learning, mathematics, or formal methods.
- Ability to write and debug substantial code.
- Agency to drive a project and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Work with a mentor on a research or engineering project that matters to Axiom.
- Take ownership of the full project lifecycle, including planning, experimentation, and productionization.
- Gain a broad view of Axiom’s work and how research, engineering, and formal verification come together in pursuit of mathematical discovery.
