About The Position

Interns join Axiom’s technical staff to work on a focused research or engineering project. Potential projects may involve mathematical reasoning, model training, formal verification, or supporting infrastructure. The project is defined with the intern based on Axiom’s current work and where the intern can contribute most.

The intern works with a mentor, owns the project lifecycle from planning and experimentation through productionization, and gains exposure to how research, engineering, and formal verification come together at Axiom in pursuit of mathematical discovery.

Requirements

• Evidence of technical ability through research, open-source work, independent projects, or coursework.
• Depth in at least one of computer science, machine learning, mathematics, or formal methods.
• Ability to write and debug substantial code.
• Agency to drive a project and ability to collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Work with a mentor on a research or engineering project that matters to Axiom.
• Take ownership of the full project lifecycle, including planning, experimentation, and productionization.
• Gain a broad view of Axiom’s work across the company and learn how research, engineering, and formal verification contribute to mathematical discovery.
