About The Position

Groq is hiring a Member of GTM - Strategic Accounts to support growing demand for GroqCloud inference. The role sits between customers, engineering, and the business, serving as an early technical and commercial contact for prospective customers and supporting them through evaluation, agreement, and renewal. The position is part of the Americas enterprise team and works closely with the Director, Americas and field engineering. The hire will learn to qualify, size, and price inference capacity, then lead those discussions independently. Over time, the role expands to larger dedicated deployments and emerging Groq infrastructure opportunities. It also involves coordinating deals, renewals, and cross-functional partners, and developing systems and automation to help a small team serve a growing market. The role is based in the Dallas, San Francisco, or New York City area. Remote work is available while Groq establishes a local office, after which the position is expected to transition to onsite work.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or technical account management; ideally at an AI, ML, or cloud infrastructure company.
  • Hands-on familiarity with LLM inference, including models, throughput, latency, tokens per minute, and tradeoffs among dedicated, reserved, and shared capacity, or the technical foundation to learn these quickly.
  • Consultative approach: diagnose customer needs before recommending a solution and be comfortable telling a prospect when Groq is not the right fit.
  • Commercial fluency with pricing, order forms, renewals, and enterprise contract mechanics, or experience working closely enough with sales to learn them quickly.
  • Strong organization and process orientation, including maintaining a clean pipeline, closing loops, and consistent follow-up.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-directed approach, with the ability to identify gaps and propose solutions.
  • Ability to adapt communication to audiences ranging from infrastructure engineers to CFOs.
  • Comfort operating amid ambiguity, adapting quickly to new workflows and environments, and moving forward without waiting for perfect information.
  • Must be based in the Dallas, San Francisco, or New York City area.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a neocloud, inference provider, GPU cloud, or AI lab.
  • Experience with Salesforce or deal desk tooling.
  • A track record of building or improving go-to-market processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own inbound GroqCloud enterprise interest from first contact through qualification, ensuring prospective customers receive timely, thoughtful responses.
  • Lead customer workload and requirements conversations and translate inference needs into suitable Groq solutions.
  • Develop capacity proposals and order forms, guide customers through the commercial process, and help close deals with support from the Director.
  • Build and manage the renewal process, maintaining current customer terms, expanding suitable accounts, and cleanly transitioning other accounts.
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, sales operations, and engineering to keep agreements progressing and stakeholders informed.
  • Extend existing automation and workflows and design new systems to help a small team serve a large, growing market.
  • Identify gaps in sales, renewal, and billing processes and propose solutions.
  • As the role develops, contribute technically and commercially to larger dedicated capacity deployments and emerging Groq infrastructure opportunities.

Benefits

  • Long-Term Incentive (LTI) Program.
  • Robust suite of employee benefits.
  • Potential additional incentive compensation, such as a bonus, commission, or other performance-based compensation.
