About The Position

The Member Experience Associate delivers outstanding service and value to AAA Members through personal service, genuine care, and solutions tailored to their needs. The role combines Member services with product sales, and the associate is accountable for meeting individual sales targets while contributing to branch success. The position rotates among branch locations according to business needs and requires adaptability, active listening, and the ability to quickly learn different products, services, systems, and branch procedures. This is a full-time, onsite position based at AAA Merced. The associate works five days per week, including two Saturdays per month, and must be willing to cover shifts and travel between locations. The role may include fundamental Member interactions and product sales across Member Experience, Member Services, Concierge, DMV/MVD, Auto Travel, Unlicensed Insurance Services, and Smart Home Security, depending on branch needs. Bonding, fingerprinting, and Property and Casualty licensing may be required depending on branch needs. The posted hourly range starts at $23.00 and goes up to $26.95, varying by region. The role is eligible for an incentive plan that includes commissions; most employees are expected to earn between $270 and $3,500 in annual incentives, contingent on performance.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Two to four years of work experience, including at least one year in a sales role.
Sales experience is required; demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals in prior roles.
Strong customer service orientation, problem-solving ability, and professional, friendly communication.
Ability to actively listen, identify customer-specific needs, present solutions, and close sales.
Ability to adapt communication style, work with different branch teams and Member bases, and learn multiple systems and processes.
Strong knowledge of AAA products, services, and operations, with fiduciary accountability.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and compliance requirements.
Adaptability, willingness to travel, and flexibility to cover shifts at multiple locations.
Availability to work five days per week, including two Saturdays monthly, and at different branch locations.
Bonding, fingerprinting, and Property and Casualty licensing may be required depending on branch needs.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Background in insurance, retail, hospitality, service industries, or call centers.
Demonstrated success working with defined sales standards and goals and consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills.

Responsibilities

Provide Member services and sell AAA products and services in accordance with branch procedures and compliance requirements.
Meet individual sales goals and contribute to branch goals through consultative selling.
Use active listening to uncover Member needs, recommend relevant solutions, present offerings, and close sales opportunities.
Promote the value of AAA Membership and help retain existing business while generating new sales.
Adapt service and sales approaches to Members, branch environments, and business needs.
Learn and use AAA products, services, systems, and operational processes across assigned branches.
Follow standard operating procedures and support operational efficiency and end-to-end process flow.
Travel between branch locations and cover shifts as needed, including Saturdays.
