About The Position

The Parkview Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic, attentive, customer-focused part-time Membership Enrollment Specialist. The role guides prospective members through enrollment, conducts interviews and tours, enrolls and registers new members in programs, and builds relationships that connect people with the YMCA, fellow members, and programs that fit their needs. The position also promotes YMCA programs and events to members and the community and helps create a welcoming, inclusive environment for individuals and families.

Requirements

• At least 16 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Effective communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
• Commitment to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne.

Responsibilities

• Build effective, authentic relationships with members and help them connect with other members and staff.
• Promote programs and events to YMCA members and the community.
• Conduct interviews and tours with prospective members.
• Enroll and register new members in programs.
