Member Enrollment Specialist - Parkview Family YMCA
About The Position
The Parkview Family YMCA seeks an enthusiastic, attentive, customer-focused Membership Enrollment Specialist to guide prospective members through enrollment, conduct tours, and build relationships that connect people to the YMCA, fellow members, and programs suited to their needs. The role contributes to a welcoming and inclusive environment and supports the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne’s mission, culture, and values. This is a part-time position at the Parkview Family YMCA in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Available hours are Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and every third Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Requirements
- At least 16 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Effective communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
- Commitment to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne.
Responsibilities
- Build effective, authentic relationships with members and help them connect with other members and staff.
- Promote programs and events to members and the community.
- Conduct interviews and tours with prospective members.
- Enroll and register new members in programs.
