About The Position

BCD Meetings & Events (BCD M&E) is seeking a Meeting Planner to join their Life Sciences Division. This client-facing role involves acting as the event planning lead, collaborating with peers and vendors to ensure flawless and compliant execution of events. Responsibilities include site selection, registration, menu planning, onsite execution, and budget reconciliation. The planner will manage events on time, on budget, and within compliance guidelines in a fast-paced environment. This is an office-based position located in Raynham, MA.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, own the room, and convey confidence, knowledge of best practices in events, and a professional presence.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and be adaptable, with exceptional problem-solving skills, calmness under pressure, and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to establish long-lasting, professional relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Experience managing the complex world of compliance, including understanding Meal Caps, State & Country Laws, and Transfer Of Value reporting.
  • Proficiency in Cvent, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • A college degree from a 4-year institution.
  • Background coordinating corporate meetings and events.
  • The ability to travel for programs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for the client, ensuring all milestones are clearly communicated and met with a consultative approach.
  • Work with the client and peers to procure an ideal and compliant venue for each event.
  • Partner with team members to create clear and simple attendee communications and registration websites, including a well-timed and accurate communication plan.
  • Communicate effectively with hotel and vendor partners regarding hotel rooms, room sets, AV/Production needs, offsite and team-building events, ground transportation, signage, and more.
  • Ensure all customer HCP compliance requirements are adhered to.
  • Ensure a positive and memorable experience for clients, attendees, and staff from invitation through departure.
