About The Position

The Medicine Associate/Formulation Technician II manufactures quality fill material for use in the encapsulation process at Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Pharma Services Group site in High Point, North Carolina, which focuses on gelatin-based softgel drug delivery dosage forms. The role produces fill material, including simple potent compounds, using multiple types of equipment and processes. The schedule is 7 a.m.–7 p.m. on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule in a 24-hour, seven-day-per-week operation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of work experience in manufacturing, operations, production, a laboratory setting, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret data, perform basic calculations, and troubleshoot.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift in a 24-hour, seven-day-per-week operation.
• Must meet DEA security clearance requirements if requested.
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
• Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Close and color vision are required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a cGMP environment.
• Pallet jack and forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow workplace procedures, including SOPs, Batch Records, cGMPs, and MSDS memos.
• Retrieve, weigh, identify, mix, and store raw materials.
• Clean equipment and perform other cleaning duties in the work area.
• Manufacture neat fills/blends and complex batches.
• Produce quality fill material, including simple potent compounds, for the encapsulation department using multiple types of equipment and processes.
• May operate a forklift.
