About The Position

The Gelatin Associate/Formulation Technician II manufactures quality gel material for use in the encapsulation process at Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Pharma Services Group site in High Point, North Carolina, which focuses on gelatin-based softgel drug delivery dosage forms. The role works a 12-hour day shift from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule in a 24-hour, seven-day-per-week operation.

The technician follows workplace procedures, including SOPs, batch records, cGMPs, and MSDS memos; weighs raw materials; loads gelatin silos; mixes GMRs; transfers TiO2; monitors GMR temperatures; and mixes gel for production lines. The role also includes training in the Automated Gelatin Manufacturing System (AGMS) and performing all cleaning duties in the area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of work experience in manufacturing, operations, production, a lab setting, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Ability to interpret data, perform basic calculations, and troubleshoot.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift in a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week operation.
• Must be able to meet DEA security clearance requirements if requested.
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
• Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Close and color vision are required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a cGMP environment.

• Pallet jack and forklift experience.
