About The Position

The Fountains of Cartersville is seeking Certified Medication Technicians to perform medication administration and provide resident care oversight in an assisted living and memory care community. This is a part-time, third-shift role from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., with work required every Friday through Sunday. A CMA certification is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of a state-approved Medication Aide course.
• Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
• CMA certification required.
• Ability to communicate adequately in writing and verbally, including in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to work in an environment caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to oneself or others.
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
• Must be available to work every Friday through Sunday on the third shift, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive working relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
• Promote and protect residents’ rights and treat residents with dignity and respect.
• Attend in-service and educational programs and complete continuing education required by state regulations.
• Remain calm under stressful conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the community dress code.
• Complete documentation in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Report changes in a resident’s condition to the supervisor as soon as possible.
• Complete work schedules and assigned tasks in accordance with community policies and procedures.
• Operate equipment safely and only use equipment for which prior training has been provided.
• Use infection-control precautions and practices in all activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures.
• Report safety violations.
