Medication Technician - 10:30pm - 6:30am
About The Position
Brookdale is hiring a Medication Technician to administer medications or assist residents with self-administration, as permitted by state regulations and after required training or certification. The role also involves monitoring and reporting residents’ responses to a supervisor, maintaining medication supplies, helping audit medication carts, counting medications accurately, and coordinating medication deliveries with pharmacies. Requirements
- Complete the training or certification required by state regulations for the role.
Responsibilities
- Administer or assist with self-administration of medications and treatments prescribed by a health care provider, in accordance with state regulations and required training or certification.
- Observe residents’ responses to medications and treatments and report them to a supervisor.
- Keep the medication supply room organized and clean.
- Assist with medication cart audits.
- Provide accurate counts of all medications.
- Communicate with pharmacies to coordinate medication delivery.
