About The Position

The Medication Assistant provides resident care services in the Assisted Living area, including assistance with self-administration of medication, under the supervision of the Resident Care Director (RCD). The role follows scheduled duties and helps maintain a positive physical and social environment. The position is part-time, with 1st-shift hours of 6 AM–2 PM and 2nd-shift hours of 2 PM–10 PM. PRN shifts are also available. Pay is up to $23.90 per hour based on experience, with same-day pay options.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess current Medication Training certification.
Must have a positive criminal background screening.
Associates are subject to the company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience with senior adults is highly preferred.
May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on state requirements; any license or certification must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
Certification in CPR and first aid is preferred or may be required by the state.
Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Approach encounters with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Assist residents with medications as allowed under state guidelines.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
Communicate daily with Resident Services associates to help ensure continuity of resident care and services.
Participate in resident activities and lead activities as needed.
Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner, prioritizing resident satisfaction.
Perform other assigned job duties.
