About The Position

This is a full-time position at 40-45 hours a week. The pay range for the position is $29 an hour. The role involves driving over the road for 10-14 days, safely collecting, delivering, and storing medical waste containers at customer locations. The driver will provide strong customer service, build positive customer relationships, and perform drop and hook operations with minimal live unloading. Responsibilities include operating vehicles (straight trucks and tractor trailers up to 53 feet long) safely, completing deliveries on schedule, managing routes, and complying with DOT regulations, including logging hours and roadside inspections. The position also requires heavy lifting and sleeping in a sleeper tractor, with a meal stipend provided.

Requirements

  • CDL Haz Class A license with a CLEAN driving record and VALID medical card required!
  • Required to run out of state routes
  • Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
  • Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (straight trucks and tractor trailers as large as 26 and 53 feet long)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
  • Six months of driving experience with tractor trailers and/or straight trucks
  • Customer service skills
  • A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
  • Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
  • Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
  • On time delivery practices!

Responsibilities

  • Driving over the road - 10-14 days

  • Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise
  • Loading and unloading | Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs
  • Managing a route per leaderships direction | delivering timely, efficient and effective service
  • Sleeping in a sleeper tractor and getting $35 a meal per day
  • Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
  • Heavy lifting
