About The Position
The Float Pool Registered Nurse for Med Surge/Tele is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and is accountable for the care given to assigned patients. The RN directs and guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The role includes communicating changes in patients’ clinical conditions to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current (preferred).
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
