Medical Unit Float Pool RN
About The Position
The Float Pool Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The nurse maintains standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit and is directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients. The Registered Nurse directs and guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel. The nurse communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain it current.
Nice To Haves
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained current (preferred).
- Previous acute care hospital experience (preferred).
- Ventilator management experience (preferred).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred).
