This is a 36-hour per week position with 12-hour night shifts on a 37-private bed medicine/telemetry teaching unit. The role involves caring for a diverse adult population with acute and chronic conditions and utilizing the latest technology including telemetry, Vocera, Epic, and CVM (Constant Monitoring System). Requirements

  • BSN required
  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients
  • Ability to demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities

Nice To Haves

  • PACU experience strongly preferred
  • Preoperative holding and evaluation experience preferred
  • ASPAN membership and CPAN/CAPA certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Care for a diverse adult population with acute and chronic conditions (asthma, COPD, renal disease, DKA, DVT, HTN, PE, sepsis – to name a few)
  • Utilize the latest technology including telemetry, Vocera, Epic and CVM (Constant Monitoring System)
  • Adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards
