This role involves following standardized procedures, preparing samples for testing, collecting and analyzing bodily fluids and substances for abnormalities, and collecting blood for transfusion studies. The Medical Technologist operates laboratory equipment effectively, analyzes test results for accuracy and acceptability, and reports findings according to organizational standards. They also perform automated tests using computerized and automated equipment, run tests, analyze results for physician or nurse reporting, and conduct Quality Assurance work to ensure equipment accuracy.
