About The Position
A facility near Winters, Texas, is seeking a Medical Technologist for a full-time, permanent, direct-hire position. The role offers scheduling opportunities on day or evening shifts. The Medical Technologist performs routine and complex laboratory tests to support the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, following established standards and procedures. The role also involves troubleshooting testing issues, maintaining laboratory systems and quality control, and providing instruction and guidance as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required by the certification entity; an exception applies to MTs holding Health & Human Services certification issued before 1987.
- Completion of an approved Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) training program.
- Current registration as an MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MLT(ASCP), or equivalent certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex laboratory tests to support the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
- Follow established standards and procedures.
- Troubleshoot testing issues.
- Maintain laboratory systems and quality control.
- Provide instruction and guidance as needed.
