About The Position

The Atria Health Institute is a membership-based primary and specialty health care practice focused on prevention and longevity. We are building a multidisciplinary team of physicians to provide proactive, preventive, and precision-based care. Our services include primary care, advanced screening and diagnostics, urgent care, specialty care, 24/7 home visits, and imaging, all included in members' annual fee. Our mission is to make healthspan and lifespan equal for all by translating science into medicine in real-time, while bringing humanity back into health care. We are launching our Los Angeles Institute in late spring 2026 and are seeking founding team members.

Requirements

  • Active California MLT license
  • Minimum of 3 years in a clinical laboratory environment
  • Experience in Hematology and Chemistry required
  • Experience with phlebotomy and patient facing care
  • Experience in laboratory processes such as accessioning, specimen processing, performing assays, and quality troubleshooting
  • MUST hold a current Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification
  • Bachelor's degree in scientific field (Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or other relevant field)
  • 3+ years Laboratory experience in a combination of Point of Care and High Throughput environments
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with waived and moderate laboratory operations is desired

Responsibilities

  • Collect samples to process and test in-office orders of waived and moderate complexity assays.
  • Interact with partner labs for send-out of high complexity testing.
  • Maintain the laboratory with a focus on compliance and quality.
  • Receive, inspect, process, transfer, and pack patient samples for laboratory testing, ensuring the highest quality of sample submission.
  • Partner with Clinical teams to provide feedback on the quality of sample submissions and the timing of operations/logistics.
  • Complete registration, documentation, and tracking of samples using Atria and vendor applications and platforms.
  • Prepare specimens for sendout to reference labs, including spinning, aliquoting, labeling, stabilizing, and packing specimens.
  • Report on the quality of samples and provide feedback to clinical staff for the need for recollection.
  • Interact with and coordinate logistics of package pickup, tracking, and delivery for submissions to partner labs.
  • Perform Point of Care testing using a variety of laboratory assays and platforms, including the transmission of results to the patient chart and the communication of critical values to the patient’s care team.
  • Maintain the laboratory environment and the laboratory equipment in a clean, safe, and compliant state.
  • Perform accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.
  • Ensure that submissions by clinical staff meet all regulatory requirements as well as Atria’s best practices and quality standards.
  • Perform all activities to complete daily, weekly, and monthly logs to ensure continual compliance.
  • Support and assist with quality initiatives.
  • Assist with the ordering of medical, phlebotomy, and laboratory supplies.
  • Track inventory items used in lab workflows.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments for the receipt, invoicing, storage, and restocking of supplies in the lab, exam rooms, and clinical spaces.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned, including some administrative tasks as needed.
  • Be punctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shifts.
  • Use communication skills with appropriate medical terminology.
