About The Position
The Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting. The role involves assessing patient needs, implementing and evaluating care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes. The position is based in Colorado and serves multiple locations within the region. The night shift is 6 PM–6 AM, with the potential for 2–3 additional shifts during each 6-week schedule. An all-inclusive rate applies during holidays.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- ACLS and PALS certifications required upon hire or within 6 months.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Specialty certification for relevant specialty areas preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor, record, and report patient status and reactions to treatments.
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions and home care options.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
