About The Position

Bartlett Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their Medical Surgical team. This position offers multiple levels (RN 1, RN 2, RN 3) with varying degrees of responsibility and experience requirements. RN 1 is an entry-level position for new graduates or those returning to practice, providing basic nursing care under direct supervision. RN 2 nurses independently plan and implement care with minimal supervision and begin leadership roles. RN 3 nurses independently plan and implement care with little to no supervision, assume leadership responsibilities, and have mastered varied competencies in clinical nursing, maintaining competency in at least one primary float area.

Requirements

• Current State of Alaska Nursing License
• RN 1: None
• RN 2: One (1) year of current experience in nursing care
• RN 3: Three (3) years of current experience in nursing care
• BLS (for RN 2 and RN 3)
• Produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances in the State of Alaska prior to the start of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience (RN 1 & RN 2)
• Six (6) months nursing at BRH (as a substitution for RN 2 experience)
• Previous experience in designated care area (RN 3)

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care in predictable situations to a limited number of patients under direct supervision (RN 1).
• Independently plans and implements nursing care using standards and knowledge gained through education and experience (RN 2 & RN 3).
• Requires minimal supervision and begins assuming leadership responsibilities (RN 2).
• Requires little-to-no supervision and assumes leadership responsibilities (RN 3).
• Maintains competency in at least one (1) primary float area (RN 3).

• Pay determined by step placement and applicable Rules or Union Contract Terms for internal hires.
• Pay determined by relevant experience for external hires.
• RN 1 starts at $43.78 per hour.
• RN 2 starts at $46.51 per hour.
• RN 3 starts at $48.84 per hour.
