About The Position
TalentBurst is seeking a Medical-Surgical LPN for a 13-week contract in Rochester, NY. This role involves independent patient assignment with RN support on a complex care unit covering medicine, orthopedic overflow, and complex long-term patients. The position requires recent acute care experience and specific certifications and skills.
Requirements
- Recent acute care experience within the last 2 years
- Active NY Single-State LPN license required; pending license not accepted
- BLS certification required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Ability to float within skillset

Responsibilities
- Independent patient assignment with RN support
- Blood product administration
- Central/PICC/peripheral line care
- Phlebotomy
- IV starts and maintenance
- HFNC and oxygen administration
- Tracheostomy care
- Feeding tube management
- Heparin protocols
- Pacemaker management
- Telemetry monitoring
- Participation in rapid response/code teams
- Adherence to isolation precautions
- Wound care/wound vacs
- Care for patients in Med-Surg/Telemetry, orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, and surgical drains
- Covering medicine, orthopedic overflow, and complex long-term patients on a complex care unit
