About The Position

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for the Medical Surgical Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Alabama. The LPN provides basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care. This is a full-time, day-shift position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available to qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply, with details discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintenance of current certification.
• IV certification within 30 days of hire and maintenance of current certification.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in an applicable setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services using technical and manual skills within the scope of practice, addressing patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general care needs.
• Meet the communication needs of patients and their families.
• Perform duties under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Provide CPR and patient care, update documentation, collect specimens, provide wound care, and measure vital signs.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assist with patient care.
