About The Position
Prime Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for the Medical Surgical Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Alabama. The LPN provides basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care. This is a full-time day-shift role with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply and are discussed during the interview process.
Requirements
- Current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
- IV certification.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care using technical and manual skills within the scope of practice, addressing patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general care needs.
- Meet the communication needs of patients and their families.
- Perform duties under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Provide CPR and patient care, update documentation, handle specimens, provide wound care, and take vital signs.
