About The Position

This is a full-time, 1-year contract position with the possibility of an extension, requiring the candidate to reside within 50 miles of the Northern Colorado VA Outpatient Clinic in Loveland, CO. The role focuses on Community Care scheduling and consult management, operating on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The onboarding and credentialing process will take approximately 6 weeks.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience
  • Typing speed of 50+ WPM
  • Basic medical terminology and computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, track, and follow up on patient appointments
  • Process community care consults and coordinate care with outside providers
  • Update patient demographics, insurance, and medical records in VA systems
  • Handle calls, voicemails, faxes, mail, and patient inquiries
  • Maintain clinic schedules, no-shows, and access reports
  • Support providers and care teams with scheduling and administrative needs
  • Resolve patient concerns and scheduling issues
  • Maintain HIPAA, privacy, IT security, and regulatory compliance
  • Meet productivity and quality standards
  • Work independently and resolve scheduling or administrative issues
