About The Position

Women’s Care is hiring a Medical Scribe for its Fertility Center of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. This is a full-time, on-site position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The Medical Scribe works under the direction of a physician or provider to create and maintain accurate patient documentation, supporting providers so they can focus on patient care. The recruiting pay range is $17.96–$21.64.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Strong computer, organizational, and time-management skills.
Advanced verbal and written language and grammar skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Strong personal work habits, accountability, and self-management skills.
Ability to adapt, maintain composure, prioritize and manage time effectively, and respond constructively to feedback.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a teamwork mindset, and respectful, inclusive conduct with team members and patients.

Nice To Haves

A completed or in-progress bachelor’s degree in a science or healthcare-related field.

Responsibilities

Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, imaging tests, and medications, under the direction of a physician or provider.
May accompany the physician or provider into the examination area to transcribe the patient’s history and physical examination as provided by the patient and clinician.
Complete patient charts by summarizing consultations or examinations, listing diagnoses, and recording follow-up instructions.
Monitor chart progress to ensure workups are complete and practitioners can make timely care decisions.
Navigate the EMR to find relevant past medical records.
Retrieve, organize, prioritize, store, and maintain transmittable information using electronic technology.
Pre-load new patient charts and upload images into the EHR.
