Medical Scribe - Legal Processing (Behavioral Health Setting)
About The Position
Centennial Peaks Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Denver-metro area for more than 30 years. Located in beautiful Louisville, CO, our 104-bed facility provides a peaceful setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness including chemical dependency. Centennial Peaks offers unique and individualized programming for adolescents and adults that sets us apart from many other treatment facilities. Our dynamic leadership team includes a seasoned nursing department. Our hospital is fortunate to provide Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs in addition to inpatient services. The legal scribe works on facilitating legal status updates with the provider to ensure an accurate and complete medical record for each patient. In charge of transcribing medical records to accurately represent patient history and presentation. Completes legal filings, reviews with provider and obtains provider signatures, reviews legal documents with patients, and files with Colorado courts.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Upper-level typing/computer skills.
- Highly proficient in written and verbal English.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical documentation, medical terminology, medical records, and anatomy.
Nice To Haves
- CNA or medical assistant certification preferred.
- Experience in a hospital environment desirable.
Responsibilities
