About The Position

Colorado Physician Partners is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to collaborate with Clinical services staff and provide patient services. The role helps create a welcoming environment that fosters patient comfort and trust, and calls for a positive, flexible attitude. The position includes preparing for appointments, maintaining exam rooms, preparing and screening patients, assisting during examinations, and keeping supplies and work areas orderly.

Requirements

• Excellent ability to take medical histories, understand instructions, and accurately document information; high degree of diplomacy and tact.
• Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills.
• Willingness to adapt to various job duties and cross-train within other departments.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of Universal Precautions and adherence to HIPAA standards.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current, valid Medical Assistant certification required.
• Current, valid CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages.
• Valid state driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and update patient records before in-person or Telehealth appointments, ensuring recent test results and correspondence are current.
• Clean and stock exam rooms between patient visits in accordance with infection control standards.
• Prepare patients for visits and notify the physician or mid-level provider when they are ready.
• Greet patients, take vital signs, and accurately document basic medical history.
• Support physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations.
• Restock supplies, check inventory, and keep work areas clean and orderly.
