About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Medical Receptionist to support a dermatology and aesthetic services practice in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The role helps provide a high-quality patient care experience by facilitating patients’ entry into the office, supporting front-office operations, and assisting with patient records, communications, and scheduling. The Medical Receptionist also helps maintain appropriate screening, rooming, personal protective equipment, and sanitation practices.

Requirements

• High school-level education.
• Type 40 words per minute.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Personable, dependable, and responsible.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude and impeccable customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical computer programs, and insurance policies.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patients’ efficient and timely entry into the office.
• Greet patients professionally.
• Provide patients with appropriate literature, information, and forms, and check forms for accuracy and completion.
• Copy insurance identification cards and driver’s licenses.
• Support front-office business administrators and the Office Manager with operational tasks.
• Pull and file patient records.
• Communicate frequently with patients by telephone, including outreach and scheduling support.
• Set up charts for new patients.
• Screen patients and employees upon entry.
• Check patients in and out.
• Room patients while following social distancing guidelines.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Sanitize and clean assigned areas as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
