About The Position

EyeCare Partners is seeking a full-time Medical Optometrist to join Huron Ophthalmology, an established practice in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The practice has served the community for more than 50 years and has an established patient population. The optometrist will provide comprehensive and medical eye care, including contact lens services, and collaborate with ophthalmologists on patient care. The role offers the opportunity to work with six ophthalmologists and an experienced support team, use advanced diagnostic technology, and develop clinical skills in a collaborative practice.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active or eligible Michigan optometry license.
• Strong interest in contact lens fitting and management.
• Interest in medical optometry, postoperative care, and collaborative ophthalmic care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye exams and medical optometry services.
• Fit and manage contact lenses, including care for an established contact lens patient base.
• Provide postoperative care and collaborate with ophthalmologists on patient treatment plans.
• Perform routine follow-up visits, glasses checks, and other clinical services as needed.
• Use advanced diagnostic technology, including Optos, OCT, and visual field testing.
• Build strong relationships with patients and contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused practice.
