Medical Optometrist opening with OD/MD practice
About The Position
Quantum Vision Centers, part of EyeCare Partners, is seeking a Medical Optometrist to join its multi-specialty ophthalmology team. The role is based primarily in Maryville, Illinois, with a rotating schedule at the Granite City, Swansea, Belleville, and Godfrey offices. Approximately 85% of the work is medical, focused on post-operative care, diabetic management, stable glaucoma, and co-management with the surgical team. Some routine care is included. The practice includes 9 MDs and 4 ODs across multiple locations, with retina, cornea, cataract, and oculoplastics subspecialties. Medical offices are equipped with visual fields, Optos, and fundus photography. The position offers a strong surgical referral base, tech support, and scribe support as volume builds. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with one rotating half-day Saturday per month. Residency training is preferred, and strong new graduates are encouraged to apply. The role offers an opportunity to practice in a surgical, medically driven environment with MD collaboration and internal referrals.
