About The Position

EyeCare Partners is seeking a full-time Medical Optometrist to join Huron Ophthalmology’s established, collaborative practice in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The practice has served the community for more than 50 years and has an established patient population. The optometrist will work alongside six ophthalmologists and an experienced staff to provide comprehensive and medical eye care, build lasting patient relationships, and collaborate on patient treatment plans. The role includes contact lens fitting and management, postoperative care, routine follow-up visits, glasses checks, and other clinical services. The practice uses advanced diagnostic technology, including Optos, OCT, and visual field testing. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with no call schedule.

Requirements

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
Active or eligible Michigan optometry license.
Strong interest in contact lens fitting and management.
Interest in medical optometry, postoperative care, and collaborative ophthalmic care.
New graduates and experienced optometrists are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive eye exams and medical optometry services.
Fit and manage contact lenses, including care for an established contact lens patient base.
Provide postoperative care and collaborate with ophthalmologists on patient treatment plans.
Perform routine follow-up visits, glasses checks, and other clinical services as needed.
Use diagnostic technology, including Optos, OCT, and visual field testing.
Build strong relationships with patients and contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused practice.
