About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical office scheduling or administrative role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments, surgeries, and follow-up visits efficiently and accurately.
  • Manage and coordinate the physician's calendar to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times.
  • Confirm patient appointments and provide necessary instructions for upcoming visits.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
  • Verify patient insurance information and ensure all necessary documentation is completed prior to appointments.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
