About The Position

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist at IDEXX, you will perform laboratory testing that helps veterinarians diagnose and treat pets. Requirements

  • 3+ years of microscopic experience analyzing Clinical Patient Samples in Urinalysis, Hematology, or Parasitology.
  • Understanding of cell morphology for the specified sample types.
  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Positive attitude and energy to support colleagues.
  • Ability to work reliably and precisely with attention to detail.
  • Great sense of team spirit and responsibility.
  • Able to meet physical requirements: standing and sitting for extended periods, phone & computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50lb, and specific vision ability (close, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus).
  • Ability to work on site in Westminster, CO lab.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Sponsorship is not available).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Beckman Coulter AU5800 Analyzers.
  • A 2-, 3-, or 4-year degree in a Science-related field is preferred.
  • Experience as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT).
  • Experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests.
  • Experience operating laboratory equipment (microscopes, pipetting and/or clinical diagnostic analyzers).

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic tools to diagnose animal illnesses, injuries, and diseases.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or pet biopsy samples.
  • Set up, run, read, and release lab test results according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
