About The Position

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist at IDEXX, you will perform laboratory testing that helps veterinarians diagnose and treat pets. Requirements

3+ years of microscopic experience analyzing Clinical Patient Samples in Urinalysis, Hematology, or Parasitology.
Understanding of cell morphology for the specified sample types.
High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Positive attitude and energy to support colleagues.
Ability to work reliably and precisely with attention to detail.
Great sense of team spirit and responsibility.
Able to meet physical requirements: standing and sitting for extended periods, phone & computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50lb, and specific vision ability (close, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus).
Ability to work on site in Westminster, CO lab.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Sponsorship is not available).

Nice To Haves

Experience with Beckman Coulter AU5800 Analyzers.
A 2-, 3-, or 4-year degree in a Science-related field is preferred.
Experience as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT).
Experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests.
Experience operating laboratory equipment (microscopes, pipetting and/or clinical diagnostic analyzers).

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory testing using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic tools to diagnose animal illnesses, injuries, and diseases.
Conduct diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or pet biopsy samples.
Set up, run, read, and release lab test results according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
