Medical Laboratory Technician (Laboratory) - FT/72 Nights
About The Position
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performs complex and specialized tests, applies quality-assurance knowledge to monitor quality-control programs, and promotes cost-effective testing practices. The role requires initiative in addressing a broad range of procedural and technical problems and communicating relevant technical information to medical, paramedical, and lay individuals. The MLT demonstrates commitment to patient care and professionalism and accepts responsibility for safe laboratory practices. This is a 72-hour position on the weekend overnight shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Medical Technology with MLT certification.
- Six months of general laboratory experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong critical-thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice To Haves
- ASCP certification preferred.
