About The Position
Under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Generalist is responsible for performing laboratory tests, maintaining quality control procedures, and communicating effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field required.
- Board eligible by NCA or ASCP; must complete board certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) via ASCP or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) via NCA within one year of employment.
- One to three (1–3) years of related or progressively responsible experience in chemistry, blood bank, hematology, and microbiology, or completion of a formal student internship.
- Proficiency with clinical laboratory instrumentation.
- Experience as a laboratory generalist.
