About The Position

Seeking a qualified Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for a 13-week contract assignment at a critical access hospital. The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently, prioritizing tasks effectively, and delivering accurate diagnostic testing across key laboratory disciplines.

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved Medical Technology (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program.
• Demonstrated ability to work alone, multitask efficiently, and manage workflow independently.
• High proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Proficiency in gram stains, planting cultures, and blood cultures.
• Proficient with safety protocols, PPE usage, and isolation procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Full microbiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Blood Bank testing.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Perform microbiology testing, including gram stains, planting cultures, and blood cultures.
• Adhere to safety protocols, PPE usage, and isolation procedures.
