About The Position

Medical City Arlington is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform and demonstrate proficiency in one or more areas of the clinical laboratory. The role supports patient care through service, safety, and professionalism. The scientist performs laboratory procedures, maintains performance and quality-control records, maintains equipment and documents its maintenance, and assists with laboratory training programs as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• A listed credential or qualification is required: Medical Laboratory Scientist, Certified Medical Lab, Certified Lab Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Lab Scientist, or American Medical Technologist.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in a hospital hematology laboratory is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
• Maintain records of performance, patient results, and quality control.
• Maintain equipment and record preventive and remedial equipment maintenance.
• Assist with laboratory training programs as required.
