About The Position

The Medical Laboratory Scientist role is a 100% FTE position at UW Health Swedish American Hospital, 1401 E State St. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. Additional compensation may include evening, night, and weekend shift differentials, overtime, and on-call pay. A bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology, is required. A bachelor's or master's degree in medical laboratory science (MLS) is preferred. No minimum experience is required; one year of healthcare- or laboratory-related work experience is preferred. Certification in Medical Lab Science, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Banking, or Molecular Biology through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or a similar agency is preferred. Requirements
