About The Position

Medical City Dallas is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform and demonstrate proficiency in one or more areas of the clinical laboratory. The role requires a commitment to service, safety, and professionalism in support of high-quality patient care. The scientist performs laboratory procedures, maintains records and equipment, and assists with laboratory training programs as required. Medical City Dallas is an 895+ bed tertiary care center with adult and pediatric hospitals, emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, and diagnostic centers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
A credential or certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Certified Medical Lab, Certified Lab Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Lab Scientist, or American Medical Technologist is required.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
Maintain records of performance, patient results, and quality control.
Maintain equipment and document preventive and remedial maintenance.
Assist with laboratory training programs as required.
