About The Position

The Medical Lab Tech processes and tests all types of laboratory specimens, reviews and reports laboratory results, and performs operational duties, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. The position is at The Hospitals of Providence - Sierra Campus and is per diem with a rotating shift.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Graduation from an accredited school of medical laboratory technicians or equivalent.
• Meet CLIA criteria for High Complexity testing as defined in 42 CFR 493.1489 (Jan. 24, 2003).
• 0 to 2 years of experience as a medical laboratory technician.
• Registered or registry-eligible with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) within one year of hire.
• Obtain licensure as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Process and test all types of laboratory specimens.
• Review and report laboratory results.
• Perform operational duties, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
