As part of the team at our new Indian Land Free‑Standing ER, you will: Work in a newly constructed, modern emergency department equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology. Provide prompt, compassionate care to patients with a wide range of emergent conditions. Collaborate with experienced physicians, nurses, and support teams dedicated to excellence in emergency services. Help establish workflows, culture, and best practices as part of a new location launch. Make a meaningful impact in a rapidly growing community with increasing access to quality healthcare. Responsibilities

  • Perform various tests to analyze blood, body fluids and tissues as ordered by Healthcare personnel.
  • Under the general supervision of departmental section supervisors and/or lead techs, precisely and accurately order, perform and evaluate technical procedures in the different subsections of the clinical laboratory department.
  • Properly collect blood specimens ensuring patient safety and consistency with age-specific considerations for all patients, neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics as well as employees.
  • Receive, process, and distribute specimens appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Properly store specimens for further testing, as needed.
  • Assist with the training of new employees and students.
  • Maintain equipment and supply inventory.
  • Adhere to laboratory and hospital policies (i.e. attendance, continuing education, dress code, infection control, and patient confidentiality) and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge and practices current regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare and participate in processes relating to regulatory agencies such as Joint Commission, CAP and AABB.
  • Follow best practice for infection control in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
