PRN Medical Lab Scientist (MLS)/Medical Technician (MLT)
About The Position
Valley View is hiring a PRN (as-needed) Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technician (MLT) to help cover varying shifts. The role receives or collects specimens for testing; performs chemical, microscopic, bacteriologic, and other medical laboratory tests and examinations; and operates manual and automated laboratory equipment to analyze specimens. Both Medical Lab Scientists and Medical Technicians are being considered. The position is based in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Pay is $33.99–$49.98 per hour plus a 14% PRN differential for Medical Technicians, and $36.76–$54.06 per hour plus a 14% PRN differential for Medical Lab Scientists. Starting wage depends on experience, education, and skill set. Valley View’s mission is to provide convenient, connected care to the communities of Western Colorado with scope, technology, and expertise rarely found in regional hospitals.
Requirements
- For Medical Technicians: associate degree.
- For Medical Technicians: at least one year of experience.
- For Medical Technicians: current Medical Technology registration by ASCP or AMT.
- For Medical Lab Scientists: bachelor's degree.
- For Medical Lab Scientists: current Medical Technology registration by ASCP or AMT.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience as a Medical Technologist is preferred.
