About The Position
PAML, a Labcorp company, is seeking a Courier in Renton, Washington. The role is responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. A company vehicle is provided for the assigned route. For $125 per month, the employee may take the vehicle home nightly and use it for personal purposes. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Overtime and rotating weekends may be required. Pay is $21.57 to $27.28 per hour, plus a third-shift differential.
Requirements
- No experience or education is required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Punctuality and strong time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to problem-solve customer issues.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months or more of previous driver or courier experience.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups.
- Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
- Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
- Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
- Safely operate the company vehicle and obey all traffic laws.
- Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
- Work with the dispatcher to handle additional pickups as needed.
- Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
- Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent client service.
