About The Position

PAML, a Labcorp company, is seeking a Courier to join its team in Renton, Washington. The Courier picks up, transports, and delivers medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. A company vehicle is provided for the assigned route. For $125 per month, the employee may optionally take the vehicle home nightly and use it personally.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Overtime and rotating weekends may be required. Pay is $21.57 to $27.28 per hour, plus a third-shift differential. No experience or education is required. Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k), paid time off or flexible time off, tuition reimbursement, and an employee stock purchase plan.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Punctuality and strong time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem-solve customer issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months or more of previous driver or courier experience.

Responsibilities

• Load all supplies needed for daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Work with the dispatcher to handle additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
