About The Position

PAML, a Labcorp company, is seeking a Courier in Renton, Washington. The role is responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. A company vehicle is provided for the assigned route; employees may choose to take it home nightly and use it personally for $125 per month.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Overtime and rotating weekends may be required. The position pays $21.57 to $27.28 per hour, plus a second-shift differential.

Requirements

• No experience or education is required.
• Hold a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Demonstrate punctuality and strong time-management skills.
• Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Be able to problem-solve customer issues.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Be flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Be able to work independently or in a team environment.
• Be comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months or more of previous driver or courier experience.

Responsibilities

• Load all supplies needed for daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate the company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Coordinate with the dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent client service.
