About The Position

PAML, a Labcorp company, is seeking a Courier in Renton, Washington. The role is responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. A company vehicle is provided for the assigned route; employees may optionally take it home nightly and use it personally for $125 per month.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Overtime and rotating weekends may be required. The position pays $21.57 to $27.28 per hour, plus a second-shift differential. Job offers depend on skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees or certifications, internal equity, and market data.

Requirements

• No experience or education is required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Punctuality and strong time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to solve customer issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of prior driver or courier experience.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Work with the dispatcher to handle additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent client service.
